Images are analyzed directly in your browser. A fast pre-filter skips icons and graphics so the AI model only runs on real photos.

Hash Generation

A cryptographic fingerprint of the image is computed locally. This hash — never the image itself — can optionally be checked against our shared database.

About the install warning

Chrome will warn that qwip can "read and change data on all websites." This is required to scan images as you browse — but here's what actually happens: images are processed entirely inside your browser using a local AI model. No image data, pixels, or browsing history is ever sent to our servers. The only thing optionally shared is a cryptographic hash (a fingerprint, not the image) to check our community database.
